Technology for progressive power

Practice on a population, not on a voter.

Synthetic audiences and rehearsal tools for the people who write the policy, stand for the seat, run the patch and knock the door.

A LeftForward initiative, working with parties and campaigns across Europe.

Panel · 1,200 respondents · Ireland

Persuaded Unmoved Pushed back

Illustrative. The platform shows how an argument behaves in a room. It does not estimate vote share and it is not a poll.

Four rooms

Different jobs, different tools, one shared panel.

For parties and campaigns

Test it before it meets a voter.

Put a policy, a line or a whole conference speech in front of a population and find out where it breaks.

  • Policy iteration
  • Message testing
  • Attack-line war-gamingWhat they'll hit you with, and how it lands on your voters
  • Trade-off testingForced choice between two things your coalition both wants
  • Speech and slogan testing
  • Fundraising appeal testing
  • Ad pre-testing
  • Message durabilityDoes it survive a week of argument, not just first contact
  • Selectorate testingMembers and affiliates, who pick your leader, modelled separately

For candidates

Rehearsal, as many times as you need.

Every format you'll face, with an opponent who never gets tired and a room that tells you the truth.

  • Debate prep
  • Interview prep
  • Selection and shortlistingWhere careers are decided and nobody gets coaching
  • HustingsMulti-candidate, which behaves nothing like a two-way
  • Doorstep Q&A drill
  • Personal narrative testingHow the bio lands before it's fixed in print
  • Vulnerability self-auditWhat opposition research finds, and whether it moves anyone
  • Social media testingIncluding what the reply thread does to the post

For organisers and agents

Turn a national message into a local one.

The job between the campaign and the doorstep: making the argument make sense on your patch.

  • Constituency and ward briefings
  • Message localisationThe same policy, argued for the place it's argued in
  • Objection trackingWhat canvassers are actually hearing this week
  • Train-the-trainer packs
  • Volunteer readinessWho has practised, who hasn't
  • Scenario planning

For volunteers

The conversation you can't afford to get wrong.

You can't practise a hard conversation on a real voter without spending a real voter. Here you can practise it fifty times.

  • Doorstep conversations
  • Phone bank and text bank
  • Deep canvassingEvidence-backed, difficult, almost impossible to train at scale
  • Relational organisingThe conversation with your uncle, not a stranger
  • Making the askVolunteer, donate, host
  • Hostility and de-escalationSafety training, not performance training
  • This week's objections
  • Coaching and progress

The engine

Audiences simulated from research with real people.

All four rooms run on the same engine. Each sim is modelled on a real person's own answers, given in an interview or a survey, not on a demographic bracket and not on a persona a language model invented. Responses carry real human variation, which is the difference between a room that argues back and a room that agrees with you.

Assumptions stay visible, test conditions stay comparable, and the evaluation logic can be reviewed and repeated. Answers come back in minutes rather than weeks, for a fraction of what conventional research costs.

And it sharpens. What canvassers hear on real doorsteps feeds back in, so a campaign that has used the platform for a year is arguing against a harder room than one that started last week.
